About Japanese Cuisine Kagari

Japanese Cuisine Kagari is one of those places I like to introduce when someone asks where to experience real Japanese flavors in Tokyo without the tourist gloss. Tucked inside Shinjuku City at Japan, 〒160-8330 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Nishishinjuku, 2 Chome−2−1 内, this spot feels quietly confident from the moment you step in. The atmosphere leans toward an authentic Japanese restaurant vibe, calm and focused, where the details matter and the food speaks first. Japanese Cuisine Kagari isn’t about flashy décor; instead, it delivers a refined setting that lets traditional techniques and thoughtful presentation take center stage.

What really makes Japanese Cuisine Kagari stand out is how approachable it feels, even with its polished style. Whether you choose to dine in, order takeaway, or opt for delivery, the experience is smooth and well-organized. The on-site service is attentive without hovering, which makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your time. It’s also a great choice if you’re planning something more intimate, thanks to the availability of a private dining room that suits relaxed business meals or low-key celebrations.

The menu offers plenty to explore, especially if you enjoy pairing food with drinks. Alcohol, beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits are all part of the lineup, so it’s easy to match your meal with the right pour. If you’re not in the mood for alcohol, coffee is available, keeping things flexible for different preferences. Small plates encourage sharing and sampling, while vegan options ensure that plant-based diners don’t feel like an afterthought.

Overall, Japanese Cuisine Kagari fits naturally into the Shinjuku dining scene, balancing tradition with modern convenience. It’s the kind of restaurant I recommend when you want authentic Japanese cuisine, a comfortable atmosphere, and service options that adapt to your schedule, all without feeling rushed or overly formal inside.

Was here for early breakfast on Xmas day 2022 - the other options were pretty crowded and we decided to come here just as it opened and were glad we did. The service was superb and the food fantastic. The ambiance was very nice too and we had our own little dining room. Liked the Kaiseki style breakfast where the individual portions looked small but together made for a full meal.

We had breakfast here on first day. First time to try Japanese traditional breakfast. It looks very simple and small amount. However I couldn’ finish all dishes as I was too full. Each dishes are all very yummy. Simple but tasty.

The breakfast set I chose was amazing! A little expensive, but worth it! It was a very good start to my trip in Japan. Staff was friendly and efficient as well.
